Lesson Plans

SmartBoard Lesson- This is a smartboard lesson plan that is covering the topic of animal kingdoms. It has many interactive activites and a game for students. This specfic lesson is one of many, the main topic in this lesson is covering mammals in the animal kingdom.

Technology Lesson Plans- These are three different lesson plans that include technology into everyday subjects. The technology these lesson plans incorporate are computers, the internet, and cameras.

Science Lesson- This is a lesson about leaves. It would be taught on day 5 of a unit in adaptation. Students categorize different leaves and fill out a leaf worksheet.

Blank Lesson Plan Template- This is a lesson plan template that will help make filling out daily lesson plans much easer with drop-down buttons, check boxes, and fill in the blank spaces.

Shared Reading Lesson- This lesson is a 3rd grade shared reading lesson entitled "Penguin Chick." Each day is followed with a powerpoint and a story. This shared reading lesson is on the 2nd day. Every shared reading lesson involved a DOL (Daily Oral Language), writing prompt, a shared reading, and review of grammar.

Communities Lesson- This is a 3rd grade lesson about communities. On this day students were learning about different types of communities and how their own community is different from others. Also, students reviewed what a community helper is and watched a short video clip from BrainPop. 

Math Lesson- This is a 3rd grade lesson on rounding and compatible numbers. In the school district I student taught at teachers were required to use a math program called "Envision Math." This program allowed students to review, watch a short video clip on the lesson, do a guided practice with the teacher, independent practice, and then problem solving in their textbook.
